Plants of the World Online and World Flora Online now have Streptosolen as an accepted genus although there are other sources, including Mabberley in his 2017 Plant Book, that continue to keep it in its original Browallia genus.
Time in the Browallia genus explains the synonym of Browallia jamesonii and the common name of Orange Browallia.
The Marmalade bush, Streptosolen jamesonii is the only species in the genus so descriptions of both are the same.
They are native to Peru, Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador.
