Grevillea juniperina.
A species native to areas of Queensland and N.S.W.
They can be a small, prickly, prostrate shrub or an erect one.
They vary from 0.2 to 3 m high with dense, dark green foliage.
The stiff leaves are up to 35 mm long by 0.5 mm wide with sharp tips.
Spider type, mostly terminal inflorescences, are about 3 cm long.
Flowers are commonly red and the outer surface of the tepals is hairy.
It is a very variable species and flowers can also be be pink, yellow, apricot or orange.
The fruit are around 1.5 cm and hold 1 or 2 hairy seeds.
There are 7 subspecies plus many hybrids and cultivars.
