The jelly-like fruit bodies are often only a few mms high but can be a few cms tall.
Their various shapes include unformed pustules.
Others have a stalk with 1 or more flattened lobes or a concave cup-like top.
Many are a bright yellow or orange.
The fertile area can be on the stalk or the lobes.

Seen in Australia they grow in dense clusters on wood.
The fruiting bodies have a jelly-like consistency.
They are spatula-shaped with a stalk and a wider flat lobe at the top.
From 1 to 25 mm high they are a bright yellow.
The fertile area is on the lobe.
