Clavulina is a genus of around 45 species of coral fungi.
The often much-branched fruit bodies have arms that are flat or cylindrical.
The tips of the branches can be blunt, pointed, have a crest or be otherwise adorned.
The spores are white and microscopy is needed to separate the species.

Clavulina cristata.
A Coral fungus also known as Clavulina coralloides.
Fruit bodies may be solitary or in small to dense clusters.
Mature ones can be up to 10 cm high and wide.
There may be a stem up to around 3 or 4 cm or almost none.
The white to off-white fruit body has arms that branch a few or many times.
Arms can be smooth or wrinkled and the tips have a few sharp teeth (crest).
Not all the branches have sharp teeth but some always will.
Old specimens may have a pink or brown tint.
The spore print is white.
