Brassica oleracea Botrytis Group.
Brassica oleracea var. botrytis – cauliflowers.
The much branched cauliflower inflorescence is a panicle.
Each terminal inflorescence is tightly packed into a small head.
All these small heads are compressed into a large head by leaves that wrap tightly over it.
The small heads are composed of aborted flower buds called curds.
